NSW Schools Championships

The NSW Schools Championships are held each year. Entries for the NSW Schools Championships will be accepted from any student at a primary or secondary school (or approved home school) in NSW. Orienteers of any standard may enter and there is no need to be a member of an orienteering club. Boys and girls age classes range from under 9s upwards.

In 2010, the NSW Schools Championships will be conducted in the Southern Highlands on Sunday 29 August.  Full event information and an entry form are available by clicking on the link in the calendar above.  Pre-entry is essential.

Australian Schools Championships

A NSW Schools Team is selected each year to represent NSW at the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships, which are usually held as part of the Australian Championships Carnival in September or October. The competition consists of four classes - senior (16 and above) and junior (12-15) boys and girls.  Entry is open to selected athletes only. Selection criteria and races are outlined under the NSW Schools Team tab.
